Esta es nuestra obsesión: escapar de la ciudad para relajarnos en las termas. Afortunadamente para nosotros, hay muchas opciones cerca de la ciudad y tenemos la oportunidad de relajarnos, además de descubrir nuevos pueblitos al mismo tiempo.

Cada invierno, vamos a La Garriga, un pueblo muy bonito con mucho carácter para disfrutar de sus aguas termales famosas. Elegimos el Hotel Blancafort, porque nos parece muy interesante su oferta de tratamientos de spa y la selección de piscinas diferentes. ¡Y no estábamos decepcionados! Con temperaturas de hasta 38°C, las piscinas eran fantásticas para relajarse y después del circuito de las piscinas diferentes, mis músculos estaban relajados. También, había piscina caliente afuera e íbamos a nadar por la noche, una buena experiencia con el aire frío y la oscuridad alrededor.

El pueblo de La Garriga es impresionante. Lleno de restaurantes increíbles, comimos platos ricos, incluso los calçots famosos de Cataluña con salsa romesco casera. Cada plato que comimos tenía una calidad alta con mucho sabor. Cerca del centro, hay un paseo arbolado y fuimos a caminar bajo el sol, mirando las hermosas casas que bordean El Passeig y eligiendo nuestra casa favorita. ¡Incluso conocimos a una simpática cacatúa que nos saludó!

Qué suerte tenemos de poder ir a lugares tan lindos por un fin de semana.

This is our obsession: escaping from the city to relax in thermal waters. Fortunately for us, there are many options close to the city so we have the opportunity to relax and at the same time discover new tiny towns.

Every winter, we escape to La Garriga, a very beautiful town full of character to enjoy its famous hot springs. We chose the Blancafort Hotel, because we found its offer of spa treatments and the selection of different pools very tempting. And we were not disappointed! With temperatures up to 38°C, the pools are fantastic for relaxing and after the circuit of the different pools, my muscles felt so relaxed. Also, there was a hot pool outside and we went for a swim at night, a really nice experience with the cold air and darkness all around us.

The town of La Garriga is quite impressive. Full of incredible restaurants, we ate delicious dishes, including Catalonia’s famous calçots with homemade romesco sauce. Every dish we ate was of high quality full of flavour. Near the center, there is a beautiful tree-lined promenade and we went for a stroll in the sun, looking at the beautiful houses that line El Passeig and choosing our favorite house. We even met a friendly cockatoo who greeted us with an ‘hola’!

How lucky we are to be able to go to such beautiful places for a weekend.
